Beach Blast Offering Up Points Towards the Manhattan Beach Open and AVPFirst National Championships
Beach Blast Ocean Shores is offering up adult and junior divisions with AVP points available towards qualification for the AVPFirst Junior National Championship and a main draw seed in the Mahattan Beach Open!
The AVPFirst junior event is the only tier 3 multi-day AVPFirst event in the Pacific Northwest. The event will start Saturday morning at 9am and continue with bracket play on Sunday. The tournament is the last chance for athletes to earn points towards qualification for this year's AVPFirst National Championship taking place alongside the AVP Pro Tour's Hermosa Open July 24-30th.
The AVPNext adult event is one of only two point scoring events in the Northwest zone offering points towards a maid draw seed for the iconic Manhattan Beach Open. The zonal bid will be awarded to the team that has the best combined finishes in the AVPNext event held at Bottega Fitness Park on June 9 and the July 7 event at Ocean Shores. If there is a tie for the bid to the Manhattan Beach Open at the completion of the two events, the tie will be broken by the following criteria:
1. Team who has won more AVPNext tournaments within the zone
2. Team who has competed in more AVPNext competitions within the zone
3. Higher combined AVP ranking points using the AVP seeding protocol
Beach Blast Ocean Shores is in its fourth year. Registration for junior and adult divisions is available at https://avp.bracketpal.com/signup/138?
